Family Health ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of families who use our health tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

Information We Collect

We collect health information that you voluntarily enter into the app, including: temperature readings, medication logs, symptom records, vaccination records, vaccine schedule data for multiple countries, family member profiles (names, birth dates, blood type, weight, growth measurements, allergies), and episode history. All data is stored locally on your device.

How We Store Your Data

All health data is stored exclusively on your device using encrypted local storage. We do not transmit your health data to external servers. All health data is encrypted at rest using your device's hardware security: iOS Keychain Services and Android EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256). This means even if someone accesses your device's file system, your health data remains protected. We use Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) to improve app stability and deliver updates. These services collect only anonymous technical data — never your personal health information. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account under your Apple ID, and Apple's privacy policy governs that storage.

App Lock & Biometric Security

Family Health offers an optional app lock feature that secures the app with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system — we never access, store, or transmit your biometric data. This feature uses your device's secure enclave and is completely optional.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal health information with third parties. Data export features (PDF reports, JSON export) are initiated only by you and shared through your device's native sharing capabilities.

Children's Privacy

Family Health is designed to help parents track their children's health. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children. All data entry is performed by the parent or guardian using the app. For details on how your family's health data is stored securely on your device, see the section below.

Your Family's Health Data

Your family's health information never leaves your device. Family Health uses an offline-first design, which means all temperature readings, medication logs, symptoms, and vaccination records are stored directly on your phone. There is no cloud server receiving your data, no third-party analytics tracking your entries, and no background uploads happening without your knowledge. We chose this approach specifically to keep your family's health information safe. Your data stays with you, period.

Notifications & Reminders

Family Health uses notifications solely for medication dose reminders and episode check-ins to help you stay on top of your family's health routines. Notification access is completely optional and you can enable or disable it at any time in your device Settings. We will never send marketing, promotional, or advertising notifications. If you choose to export vaccine appointments to your device calendar, this data is written directly to your local calendar app and is not transmitted to our servers.

Premium Features & Purchases

Family Health offers optional premium features that expand the app's capabilities. All billing and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment information. You can manage your subscription or cancel at any time through your App Store settings (App Store > your profile > Subscriptions). Refund requests are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can view, edit, or delete any information at any time within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated "Last Updated" date.
